What to Expect at Your Exam
During your comprehensive exam at Horizon Dental, our team will:
- Review your overall health and take blood pressure to help screen for heart disease.
- Discuss your dental history and any current concerns.
- Take digital x-rays (when necessary) to screen for cavities, infections, and gum disease.
- Perform a complimentary soft tissue and oral cancer screening.
- Check your bite (occlusion) for signs of grinding or wear.
- Evaluate jaw joints for healthy function.
We use modern technology, including:
- Digital X-ray Sensors & Panorex: Crisp, low-radiation imaging — ideal even for small children or patients with a gag reflex.
- Intraoral Cameras: Close-up visuals that help detect cavities, cracks, and early signs of gingivitis using fluorescence technology.
